Masters Teas is delighted to announce the arrival of Victoria Peak Darjeeling, a crisp and floral first flush tea from the historic Steinthal Estate. This year’s extended cool weather in Darjeeling delayed the 2025 harvest, producing teas with an unusually bright, lively character. Among them, Victoria Peak stands out as a remarkable expression of the region’s terroir.
Grown at approximately 1,200 meters in the Steinthal Estate’s famed Victoria’s Peak garden, this limited tea offers a golden-yellow liquor with fresh, vivacious notes of orange blossoms, tangy citrus rind, and a hint of flint. The darker leaf, threaded with buds, sings with the flavors connoisseurs seek in a classic first flush.
“Darjeeling’s first flush is always anticipated, but this year’s harvest brought something truly special,” said Cynthia Fazekas of Masters Teas. “Victoria Peak captures that perfect balance of crisp florals and subtle fruit that makes Darjeeling so beloved worldwide.”
This high-caffeine tea is best enjoyed freshly harvested to savor its floral clarity, though it will mellow gracefully over time, developing a softer, fruitier profile in the months ahead. Its versatility allows tea lovers to experience both expressions: the bright, youthful energy of spring and the smooth richness of maturity.
